can someone check this in power tools and sngwiz
i'm running sngwiz and getting something that has to be wrong and was wondering if someone would test it in power tools and maybe someone else in their sngwiz... ( i dont have power tools)
sngwiz is saying this is a fold with utg pushing 35% BB calling 2%. has to be wrong.. heres the HH, so you can paste it into sngwiz PokerStars Game #92912379366: Tournament #14859675, $55+$5 Hold'em No Limit - Level IV (50/100) - 2006/04/24 - 05:16:57 (ET) Table 'PokerStarsSample 1' 9-max Seat #5 is the button Seat 3: Harman (120 in chips) Seat 5: Negreanu (490 in chips) Seat 6: Hero (7575 in chips) Seat 7: Williams (5315 in chips) Hero: posts small blind 50 Williams: posts big blind 100 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Hero [Ah 5h] Harman: raises 20 to 120 and is all-in Negreanu: folds Hero: folds Williams: folds Harman collected 225 from pot Harman: doesn't show hand *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 225 | Rake 0 Seat 3: Harman collected (225) Seat 5: Negreanu (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 6: Hero (small blind) folded before Flop Seat 7: Williams (big blind) (button) folded before Flop |

Re: can someone check this in power tools and sngwiz
Some minimum edge setting? This call is never hugely +$EV, because there aren't enough chips in play in comparison to your stack, but it is +$EV versus any range that isn't strictly AA.

Re: can someone check this in power tools and sngwiz
You can't input this scenario into SNGPT. It's too complex because UTG is all-in but you and BB can still play for a side-pot if you push or just flat call.
I believe SNGWIZ says to fold because if you push over UTG's push, you are giving away too much equity the 2.2% of the time that BB will call you, given the ultra-short stacks that are going to get knocked out anyway. In other words, the two apps are looking for two different things: SNGWIZ is considering push/fold and SNGPT is considering calling UTG without regard to BB and cannot process overpushing. |
