So my reasoning was as follows. I don't like to bet out on that flop b/c i'm out of position and i want to keep the pot small. Villain would likely have bet out a better king on flop. He likely would have reraised any raggedy two pair on turn but his call indicates that he hit some of the board. The river puts obviouss straight on board. According to above reasoning, I figured he had a queen and would probably pay me off since I checked flop and most people would have bet it with a king. Even if he rivered 2 pair, he likely wouldn't raise me given the scary board. So I bet 1K. Too thin a value bet?

what hand that we beat is he betting here? he has position. very likely he'll happily check behind a lot of hands that we beat that he may call a modest bet with
