When pot is bigger and thare are more player behind you you often have to raise or fold your hand using read on donker. Raise to proctect your hand.

I'll call on the flop, and fold to a turn bet by villian

This is the absolute worst line you can take in this hand. Actually, c/c/f is worse for the same reason. DUCY!

HU there's noone to protect against. Donking often means K here in my experience but there's enough chance that he's holding a J or flush/straight draw to make it worth calling down. Raising doesn't accomplish anything on the flop.

my gut feel here is that there wouldnt be so many people advocating calling the flop if miles hadnt written his nice first post.

I honestly suspect that in the heat of battle a majority of 2+2ers would raise here. Or perhaps I just suck at poker. holla.

You could be right aussie (perhaps also if the action was cut off at hero's flop raise), but I'm still calling.

Yes, I'm with Snitch here. Honestly, I'd probably fold this flop before I raised it. (But, then, I sometimes have a tendency of being a little TOO nitty...)

hmmmm... maybe i'm too weak tight. OK, how about if an Ace fall on the flop instead of the K, and villian donks? Since players tend to play more A, that would be a higher chance that it hit him rite?

My point is, calling the flop to fold the turn is the worst line you can take becase taking this line indicates that you don't believe your hand is best (i.e. you are drawing), but you don't have anywhere near the required odds (you have 2 outs) to draw.
