I don't agree with this assumption. I find that many players who c/r the flop and bet the turn will continue to bet the river with all sorts of hands -- monsters, bluffs, and TPTK hands included. So, when I'm deciding whether to call the turn, I ask myself would I also call a river bet. If the answer is no, I generally fold.
