Re: Why doesnt Eurolinx allow players from NY(and other states)
Microgaming has not allowed players from 12 states to play at any of their sites for about a year now. I believe it is because each of those states have some kind of law that MG believes prohibits players residing there from playing online poker. I would think it is important to give a real address, or you'll be screwed if they request verification when you go to cashout.

Re: Why doesnt Eurolinx allow players from NY(and other states)
i actually just traced my ip to see where it said i was and &(^% it showed within 2 miles of my house which is deep in the heart of one of those 11 states.
its a cable connection i suppose only way around is proxy or provider that "masks" like some cheezy dialup. or do they care where your isp is, can i just give them a physical address in one of the other 39 ? |

Re: Why doesnt Eurolinx allow players from NY(and other states)
Well, I talked to a rep from one of the sites a while ago and they told me to just sign up with a different adress. Kind of a don't ask, don't tell policy. I never ended up doing it because I've got funding trouble though so don't know for sure.

Re: Why doesnt Eurolinx allow players from NY(and other states)
ah ok i looked up our state law also, its seems pretty trivial from what i found (also in WI), not that i shive a git about that.
now if i could just fig out how to set up a canadian funding method, think i won't have a problem getting canadian isp appearance just need the ID, physical addy etc.. for the non US sites . |
