i HATE \'call and re-assess\', but sometimes it\'s hard to avoid..
BB was 38/19/1.4 over 37 hands (some of that is 2-3 handed). He seems more aggressive than stats suggest, although he slowplayed trips (c/c flop, check turn...I checked behind, he check riv) when we were playing HU.
Anyway, the plan was to 'c-bet' and check behind most turn cards...what now? Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($40) BB ($41.40) UTG ($64.25) MP ($17.80) Hero ($55.85) Button ($51.25) Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Re: i HATE \'call and re-assess\', but sometimes it\'s hard to avoid..
Fair enough.
The reason I want to call/re-assess is that I think he's on a draw here most of the time. He may have a J, air, or a set on occasion, but most players won't make a big c/r with those. We obviously face reverse implied odds, but I think our equity is still good. This c/r says, "I'm not scared of a big pot, but I'd really prefer that you fold here". You read it differently? |

Obv you are currently ahead of all draws, not that you have that great equity vs his drawing range. But a hand that villain could absolutely play like this is tptk or QQ. Add in a couple of combos of those and your equity plummets. Unless you think he can play any jack like this I think you can safely fold.
