Re: 43s
I would just call. I want to see a cheap turn card to see if I improve to anything. Middle pair and two backdoor draws are not a powerful holding IMO. If the turn card doesn't help us, we're doomed since this is out of position against a preflop raiser who likely has a good hand (see his stats).
My turn strategy then would be: UI on turn: c/f Drawing to flush or OESD on turn: c/c Set or two-pair: c/r |

Re: 43s
:g:
flop is now quite big and you have about 44% equity vs PFR (PFR 4.0) Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 55,440 games 0.047 secs 1,179,574 games/sec Board: 4h 2d 8c Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 56.017% 56.02% 00.00% 31056 0.00 { 99+, AQs+, AKo } Hand 1: 43.983% 43.98% 00.00% 24384 0.00 { 4c3c } I think you have to protect your hand and raise this flop to kick out all overcards. This flop is ragged so raise/call and fold turn if u dont improve to FD, 2 pair or set. Also raise can clear u 2 pair outs which can give villains wheel str8. |

Re: 43s
grunch:
Raise. For one SB the limpers can correctly call with overs or even a gutshot (assuming some implied odds), they are incorrect for 2SB. Call a 3-bet and dump to a bet if unimproved on turn. |

Re: 43s
i think i peel the flop, see what the limpers do, look at the turn card, and maybe donk if it's safe.

Re: 43s
Call. Value of your hand is far more dependent on the turn than how many opponents you face.
Limpers and raiser are probably partially dominating eachother anyway so not much point getting a sub-set of them to fold. You get better value and keep the implieds up by having the limpers call. This is backed by the pokerstove figures above (I think??) if they are to be believed. |

Re: 43s
I think this is a pretty standard raise. My hand is often ahead, I definitely want to fold out random overcards held by the limpers, and I might even fold out better hands like weak top pairs.

Re: 43s
Given the advice above I guess I was much too aggressive (and getting worse street by street) with this very similar hand:
PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (8 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, 4 folds, Hero checks. Flop: (4.50 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds. Turn: (3.25 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, UTG+1 calls. River: (5.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, UTG+1 calls. Final Pot: 7.25 BB UTG+1 was 82/27.3/0.56, no relevant notes but often plays ATC...of course that's about what I'm playing here. I wanted to keep the initiative and I think my image is tight so if I keep firing many fish fold, especially on the river...but not necessarily an 82/27! |
