Default [NL100] Small overpair gets 3bet all in on flop

Villain is dumb like a brick, but not super aggro or anything. I haven't been making too many waves, and I've been playing pretty tight. I doubt he has noticed. Stack sizes are 57$.
He raises UTG to $3.50, I call in the c/o with 99. Flop comes out:
8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
He bets out 1/2 pot (4.50$), I raise to 12$ because I'm pretty sure he has air and I don't want a J, Q, K, or A coming off. He instapushes. Standard fold?

Reraise preflop. Raise to more than 12 as played on the flop.

A reraise preflop makes the stack sizes awkward with my most likely hand, which is a pair less then TP, but better than second pair. How much should I raise on the flop, and why? What about his push?

This guy wasn't raising too much. He has very few 8's in his raising range that aren't accompanied by a second 8.

Just me being a results oriented donkey. He showed AQo. Is this really a call if we add 87s and A8s to his range?

def fold. if he's not super aggro then there's no way he has air here and very little he could be raising with pre that doesn't have you beat here. i put him on bigger overpair or set. very unlikely he does this with AK/AQ etc...
