(Would have been up nearly £4k had I banked this win, oh well). I did lose some in earlier months, but am still up £2850 since 10th August (when I opened my iPoker account so when my records start). |

[ QUOTE ] Sorry Gildwulf, I hate heads up. Today's short stint at 5/10 was the first time I'd played heads up in months and I don't plan on it happening again any time soon. But you're welcome to join any iPoker six-max table. [/ QUOTE ] as i suspected all talk, but cant do any walking [/ QUOTE ] Did you totally hi-five one of your bros as you typed in this line? |

Re: Rail me - I\'m playing $10/$20 PLO on iPoker network
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] But my flop play isn't bad at all. There's $300 in the pot, he bets $78, people in the middle fold. I know he has aces. I don't think he was intentionally making a weak lead. He was just being weak. If I repot, I can make it so that he has to call another $480 with his one pair. He has to put me on two pair or a set. At this point his hand is essentially nothing more than a gutshot. I thought he would be a good enough player to fold here. In fact with aces this is a super-easy-instant fold. But he was too [censored] to fold. Postflop he's the bad player, not me. [/ QUOTE ] Well, yes, in a vacuum you are correct... However, as you stated, as others stated, the reason why iPoker is "free money" and "plays like .10/.20" is that the spastics are going to overvalue and NOT FOLD THESE HANDS. Any other spot you pick would've been better than this one, even though your read and analysis was correct. [/ QUOTE ] A very good point and well made! Yes, you need to wait for solid hands, and get paid. At 1/2 earlier in the morning I stacked this AA player when I turned a better two pair than him and rivered the broadway straight. He check-call paid me off a whole buy-in. It's easy to beat these donks but you need a better hand, it's about showdowns! Also, to be honest he will have been influenced by the earlier hand at the table where I'd lost $600 making a massive raise on the turn holding 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 9 on a 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 board. My retarded opponent (who was MUCH worse than the AA guy) called for another 3-400 bucks with QKJT rainbow, i.e. one pair no draw. I think I actually had 24 outs: I'd win with any 2, 7, 4, 5, 8, 9 or club. None came. But this showed AA guy that I was capable of making big moves, and he obviously guessed I was doing the same again. And I was. |

on this occasion he was just thinking on one higher level than you jim and knew that if he lead weak you would push. On this occasion you were outplayed. He knows your capable of bluffing in this situation, he has read your bluff. better luck next time

He knows your capable of bluffing in this situation, he has read your bluff. better luck next time [/ QUOTE ] Yes, you're saying he was trapping with a "weak lead". But I don't think he was that clever. Against one opponent, sure. But I think he actually bet weak since he was betting into three opponents, and he realised one of them had probably hit the flop harder than he had. After all, 9TJQ is the hand most commonly play when they're trying to crack aces. He didn't want to bet the pot of $300 since he realised his one pair was unlikely to be good on this flop against three opponents. But perhaps since it was me who did the raising, and he'd seen me semi-bluff earlier, he thought "[censored] it, ZOMG Aces" and called. |
