+ 40k hands non PT sites and omaha = 400k hands. 600k to go...

I am looking for a coach if anyone is interested. Will post PT screenshot and answer some of these questions later. Am still willing to take action on this bet.

Is it me or does his graph hint at a slight exponential trend? In another 350K hands he'll be beating it at the same rate as everyone else!

Hey, so I have a test tomorrow for capital investment analysis and I am on top of most of the stuff other than one type of question that I can't seem to get my head round. If someone to give me a hand with the second part of this that would be awesome. $5 on FTP if you can help.

a) (the easy bit) Company A is currently tradng at 100p on the LSE and paid a dividend of 5p in period 0. The dividend is expected to grow at a constant rate of 4% per year, what is the expected return:

Solved this from: P0 = Div1/(1+r) so 100 = 5(1.04)/(1+r) => r = 0.092

b) (the part I am stuck on) Assuming that company A takes a new investment with th same rate of return as the firms existing projects. The dividend is expected to grow at 8% in year 1 - year 3 and from year 4 the dividend will grow at 3.5% per year. How much will company A's share price change?

I'm pretty sure I need to use a combination of two formulae to work this out. The first bit I'm pretty sure is:

5(1.08)/1.092 + 5(1.08^2)/(1.092^2) + 5(1.08^3)/(1.092^3)

so this works out the value of the part where the dividend is growing at 8%. After this I get a abit stuck and have tried using something along the lines of

Div4/(0.092-0.035) and then discounting this back to T0 using 1/(1.092^3) or something.

Basically I'm struggling!

Thanks if you can help.

Jon
