10/20 SH: KKQQ double suited vs Cernuto with likely AA
He's pretty short, and I'm not realy concerned with guy in BB. Do I just repot here and deal with it? I'm pretty new to PLO still and not sure of my Equity vs a decent AA hand, which it's pretty apparent the type of hand he has. (any recommendations other than Pokerstove or twodimes for that kinda thing, btw?)

Flat call and see a flop. If he has AAxx hes not folding to a reraise. No need to shove more money in now. This is a really good hand but if hes not folding to a reraise then we're better off taking a look at a flop and then making a decision.

Simply given that you've got so much [censored] in trouble here, I think this comes down to your estimation of how often he has aces here. If there's a > 10% chance he makes this play with anything less than aces, I think a shove is fine here. Any less and you can call. In any case you have 40% equity in the sidepot here against a random AAxx hand, so it's not all bad, though the other shortstack in there confuses things for the main pot. Hand Pot equity Wins Ties kcqckdqd 33.63% 161,467 1,240 AA** 43.03% 202,813 9,184 20% 23.35% 107,411 10,253 Hand Pot equity Wins Ties kcqckdqd 40.15% 240,767 230 AA** 59.85% 359,003 230 |

Re: 10/20 SH: KKQQ double suited vs Cernuto with likely AA
your hand is strong but omaha is a postflop game mainly, so don't commit more chips with bad position and just call.
It seems that Cernuto want to build the pot so we can assume that he has aces most of the time and one of your suit can be dead. Player dependant, against a very aggro man preflop, repotting could be an option. |

Re: 10/20 SH: KKQQ double suited vs Cernuto with likely AA
I don't know where all this flat-call nonsense is coming from. It doesn't even look like Cernuto has AA here. He's short enough that if he did have AA, he'd just repot and get half his stack in. This looks like some kind or good rundown where he thinks he can get you to make some bad folds on the flop. I'd say this is an easy shove. Double-paired, you're never in terrible shape anyway.

Good point, I didn't notice that his raise wasn't for the pot, I'm firmly in the all-in camp now.

Re: 10/20 SH: KKQQ double suited vs Cernuto with likely AA
Ok, I wasn't quite sure how my hand plays vs his range and called, flopped top set, led out pot on a Q92ss board and got called by his single OESD only, He had KKJT ds, so at the very least I had the ranges figured ok.
ty for the help. |
