Re: QQ, checkraised on turn
If you think he's doing this with worse than an overpair often enough, call him down.
Min-raising the turn is my favourite way of getting a cheap showdown. |

Re: QQ, checkraised on turn
Is he loose passive, or loose aggressive? That makes a big difference here. As played, I'm confused and probably call turn + call a moderate river bet. He may be thinking J9 is good here.

Re: QQ, checkraised on turn
What do you think we beat here? 10's? A9? We're getting nice odds though (better than 4:1), so I probably call and see what he does on the river.
The only hand I think he might make this play with that we're ahead of is J9. He might be an idiot and not realize that any overpair has his top 2 beaten. |

Re: QQ, checkraised on turn
yeh im not folding here call turn c/c a reasonable river bet if this is how he plays a monster he will prob give you great odds to call on the river and there are plenty of hands you are ahead of here IMO.

Re: QQ, checkraised on turn
Unless he's very passive post-flop I 3-bet shove the turn. You'll be getting about 3.5:1 and this is definitely a J or even a draw at least that much.

Re: QQ, checkraised on turn
The way the villain has played this hand is typical of how players at 25NL play v. strong hands - check/call flop , check/raise turn so I think we definitely put him on a hand here..
Seems like you have equity in the hand, giving him quite a narrow range on stove gives: Board: 6h 9s 6c Js Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 57.338% 56.62% 00.71% 1744 22.00 { QcQs } Hand 1: 42.662% 41.95% 00.71% 1292 22.00 { 66+, AJs, A9s, A6s, AJo, A9o, A6o } obviously if you put smaller pairs and air in there (and AK?) ur equity goes up but i think his hand is within this range.. As played I would call the minraise and see what happens on the turn (prolly c/c) Edit: J9 should be in range.. |

Re: QQ, checkraised on turn
I don't agree with this range, first of all he's not doing this with all PP's 66+, just 66, 99, JJ+.
Also OP said he was playing almost every hand, so I think we have to include hands like J9, JT, QJ, KJ. My experience is that a lot of times these donks will put you on top pair on the flop and think their J just outdrew you. |

Re: QQ, checkraised on turn
Yeah I think it is, although there are probably some more 6's in his range like 65s and 76s.
But the bottom line is, there isn't a range for the villain that doesn't make shoving the right move. |
