Re: top and bottom 167 bb deep
I would probably get all in and expect 9T or (combo)draw a lot of the time

Re: top and bottom 167 bb deep
in my experience the pot raise here is less threatening than one to say, 185 or something
shove it |

Re: top and bottom 167 bb deep
This spot is uncool because of your equity against his range. If you weigh the hands you are behind about half versus the hands you are ahead of, then you're about 50/50 against his range. The reason is that you're 60/40 against fd+gutter/OESD+fd, while you are wayyy behind AT/99/TT. You're way ahead of T9 though.
So I think it comes down to reads. If you feel he is quite likely to repop 99,TT preflop, then you should go with it. If he wouldn't, or if he's less likely to go to war with powerdraws, then I can't fault you for wanting to get away from it because it's probably slightly -EV in that case. With the money in there, and his huge raise, you can always put him on a draw and go with it, [censored] it, that's why. I'm just saying that from a range and EV point of view, the decision is not that obvious. |

Re: top and bottom 167 bb deep
Considering his range you're either way ahead (T9), way behind (TT,99 AT) or about 50/50 vs. a straight and a flush draw.
I think it's a bad idea to push here because: if he has a made hand then he's calling and about 60% of the time this happens you're behind. If you take a card then you can see whether it's a scare card or not. I reckon you then give him the incorrect odds to call on the turn, and get away from it if the flush comes. Let me know how it turns out. |

Re: top and bottom 167 bb deep
I was MP here, and I'm still not sure how I feel about the fold. Villain here had been doing some weird stuff, but seemed on the passive side overall. His raise here was INSTA if I recall correcty. I really don't like folding and I really don't like shoving, and just calling has to be out of the question. Plus, although it's unlikely, I'm definitely capable of showing up with 99/TT since I had you running pretty tight preflop, so I like the fold.
