Re: 10 9 s WHY CALL/NOT CALL?
you are so short on chips i may well call here as you will most likely be up against a minimum of two other hands. His wide range will not be crushing you, it is the utg raiser and the caller with 1500 that i'd be worried about.

Re: 10 9 s WHY CALL/NOT CALL?
I'd call, it's a chance to get a ton of chips or be done with the stupid tourney. However, you're probably dominated, against an overpair, and every single overcard to your hand is probably out there. Just hit a straight and you'll be good (maybe.) Seriously, I'm 99.9% sure calling is -cEV, but I couldn't pass up a shot at all those chips being this short, and T9s isn't a bad hand to go 5 ways with.

I thought about all of this before I made the call, and my read on the table specifically prompted this call. |

Re: 10 9 s WHY CALL/NOT CALL?
ok so you have 1155 in chips and will have 955 if you fold and 855 if you don't pick up a hand in the small blind. That leaves you with 6 or 7 hands to pick up something decent and get those 4.25 BBs into the middle after that otherwise you're pretty much toast.
I really don't like the min-raise under the gun, unless hes shown a tendancy to do that in the past with non-monsters I'd take that as a sign of extreme strength. Then the button pushing over the top of this isn't really a squeez play at all, it actually looks pretty strong. So I'd say wait for a better spot try to be the first one in so you have at least a little fold equity. |

Re: 10 9 s WHY CALL/NOT CALL?
I call this everytime because I need the chips. I don't like playing with $900 chips and having to push fold. Chances are slim that you will make it to the money that way. I want that huge pot right now. T9d is a nice enough hand for me especially given your read. I don't think any of these guys has a big hand here.

Re: 10 9 s WHY CALL/NOT CALL?
I'd love shoving here if you had a deeper stack. Your stack isn't deep enough to induce all of those players to fold to your shove.
Given the situation, I lay it down. |
