Re: asses on bad flop
This would be fine if your villain was more aggressive. Since his AF is 0.89 (over how many hands?), you should greatly consider slowing down to the flop minraise.

Re: asses on bad flop
I probably go into WA/WB mode here and call down. The problem is that you are going to be afraid of half of the deck. Any T or 6 makes a 4-straight, and any diamond makes a 3-flush. Still, I want my aces to see a showdown if at all possible. I'd call the flop minraise, check/call the turn, and check/fold the river.

I doubt you are a favorite here, probably a slight dog.

how can u be a slight dog if its wa/wb?? [/ QUOTE ] It can't can it? When I said "I go into WA/WB mode," I meant I try to get to showdown for relatively cheap but I'm not willing to commit. Yes, I understand that what I posted is confusing. Sorry about that. |

Re: asses on bad flop
You don't go into call down mode on a board like this. It is way too drawy. His flop min-raise makes it appear he is on a draw. You are ahead of draws. Sure you could only be 50/50 against a combo draw here, but you already have money invested so winning less than 50% is still +EV.
I'd make a bigger flop raise, I'm thinking ~$26 to $28 range. Turn isn't great, but of the draws holding a 6x hand is least likely IMO. I like the push there. River obviously kills your hand. |
