25NL:: squeeze play w AK, is this standard?
Check my sanity: is this standard? Should i 4bet smaller?
SB is a [censored] lucky ultradonk running at 79/24/1.9/100. He already took away $40 from me, one time i overplayed AJs vs his AK and one time he had K4 and spiked a 4 on the river when i pushed allin on a 2suited K4xx turn with AK and TPTK. Spews a lot preflop, on flop, on turn, on river, everywhere. He minbets/minraises very frequently with (mostly weak) made hands, complete trash, overpairs on superdrawy boards, and so on. I don't have a problem putting him all-in with AK, obv. BTN raiser is a standard tag, 24/15/3.0/120 + ATS 26, play pretty much ABC poker and didn't do anything crazy at all. I respect his play and he should know that. We had 2 or maybe 3 3betting spots, in all of them the former raiser folded. Due to a bad run of cards i was playing like 12/11/2 over the last 100 hands, so i had a nitty image and was quite sure that BTN would fold. Party Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 4 Players LeggoPoker Hand History Converter UTG: $30.84 BTN: $47.31 SB: $66.34 Hero (BB): $29.75 Pre-Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB) UTG calls $0.25, BTN raises to $1.50, SB raises to $3, Hero raises to $29.75 and is All-In |

Re: 25NL:: squeeze play w AK, is this standard?
I'm not really sure if this is the definition of a squeeze play, since you want SB to call, but I like it.
It's more of an isolation raise against SB. You absolutely crush his range. |
