25NL: weird spot w KK vs. LP & shortie
I was running 20/17/5.0/75. CO is loose-passive preflop (49/1/1.0/556) but didn't spew postflop so far, so i exploited his preflop looseness by relentlessly raising him in BvB situation with ATC. I was very successfull and he might me mad at me, but as already mentioned he didn't do stupid stuff postflop. Nice guy for c-betting.
SB is a quite laggy player (45/18/4.1/142). We didn't play much hands before, i could not remember a single hand we went to showdown. I should note that we had no preflop 3betting history. I hate the ace on the flop and i hate SB's potsize donk, given his stack size. It is possible that he has a strong ace, but because he can't have neither an A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] nor a K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] i think it's quite unlikely . He could have AxQs, a made flush or a set. I doubt he donks into 2 opponents with only 2pair. If we were HU, i had no problem with shoving, but CO's call scared me to death. I don't think i have 9 outs to draw to the nuts and one of them might very well have a set or flush. Raising is no option here, but should i call? Raising is clearly stupid. But why should i call?
Implied odds? SB will push any turn, he has only ~$7 left. How much do you expect to win from CO if we hit? |

Pot is $12
$4 to call 3:1 on your call odds of hitting flush > 3:1 You have to call for pot odds |

Re: 25NL: weird spot w KK vs. LP & shortie
If you're not getting paid anymore if you win, you have 11 outs (direct pot odds). If they have the Qs or Js you have 10 outs, and there are very few combinations of made flushes that make sense. Calling is fine.

Re: 25NL: weird spot w KK vs. LP & shortie
Ok, thats exactly what i did: i am getting the odds for my NFD, so i called.
Turn: ($16) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) SB bets $7.44 and is All-In, CO calls $7.44, Hero ? I didn't hit, but since CO only called, i have pot odds of roughly 4-1 (31-7.5). If i discount the 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], i have 10 outs, so i am 3.6-1 to improve to a set or the nut flush, and 4.8-1 to the nut flush. I don't have the immediate odds to call, so i should fold. Then again, it looks like CO is drawing too. I suck at these calculations, how do i calculate this: How much do i have to extract from CO if i hit the nuts to create a positive return? |
