Simple ? Laptop and dual screen problem
Hey guys!
Im on a new setup, just got a new laptop. Problem is, I now have windows Vista and I dont know it well yet. Im trying to set up the second ( and obviously bigger ) screen as the principal screen, but I cant seem to find how. I can expand the besktop to the second screen but not as principal screen. Anyone can help ? Thanks! |

Re: Simple ? Laptop and dual screen problem
Try looking in the graphics card settings. In XP: Right click on desktop > Properties > Settings tab > Advanced button. That opens a new window that has a tab that has my graphics card settings.

Re: Simple ? Laptop and dual screen problem
Plug in the monitor and the settings should appear if you have not yet used a second monitor. Changed the secondary to your prefered resolution and set it as the primary monitor (there's a checkbox, it will then show the monitor as screen "1").

Re: Simple ? Laptop and dual screen problem
try drag and drop the task bar (I think it's the main issue).
If you want to us the bigger screen for gaming maybe try to post a screen shot of the check-boxes (if it's grayed you in fact may have the bigger monitor set up as a primary). |

Re: Simple ? Laptop and dual screen problem
Yeah obviously I can drag it, then drag the icons on the desktop pretty quickly... Its still annoying because the second screen is a bit too far away and all windows open on it. Its grayed but Its definatly not the bigger whos primary
