Someone really took the reversed donk recallme style vs me
Villain was new to me and was 18/13/0,8 over 80 hands, so nothing special yet.
Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $10/$20 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $2034 Hero: $1958 CO: $777 Button: $2180.35 SB: $2611 BB: $2135.50 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $70, 3 folds, BB calls. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($150, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $110, BB calls. Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($370, 2 players) BB bets $280, I am not that much interested in the turn line, but more in the turn+river line. How do we extract most value? Just 3bet call and raise all non J or d rivers or call call? I doubt someone`s folding it anywhere, right? |

I would give this villain a lot of credit and actually fold the river if he bets big again.

Re: Someone really took the reversed donk recallme style vs me
I am a noob to those limits and trying to learn myself.
I doubt I am folding it (maybe to a river all-in), but I don't understand why he is betting into you here. Can anyone explain? AJ not wanting you to check the turn behind for pot control? (most likely IMHO) Bluff? (does not look very bluffy, especially from a nit) KT trying to get some value and not wanting to get outdrawn? (does not seem very typical for 0.8 aggro) KJ semi-bluffing his new draw (although, this seems even less typical for 0.8 aggro). Maybe even a heavily slowplayed 22/KK/QQ scared of being outdrawn? (very unlikely) |

Re: Someone really took the reversed donk recallme style vs me
Kinda wa/wb situation. Only hands that have much outs are OESD+Pair. Call Turn and raise any K, Q river. If a blank comes on the river and he bets again smallish I would consider a call, tough against big bets here cuz he doesn't seem to bluff much (some previous hands/reads would help a lot). If he checks a blank river I would bet/fold (only if this 0.8 is valid tho) and if he fires any A, J, T river I would fold (mostly even a 9). Kinda ABC poker imho with the small reads you provided

Re: Someone really took the reversed donk recallme style vs me
Nit or not, how the [censored] does he have OP beat? He has to have called OOP with a gutshot, just check-called 22 AND decided on this donkey line (and have it in the first place ) or peeled one off with TT. All unlikely IMO. I'm saying KJ/QJ/JT, MAYBE KT/QT.
I vote call and raise riv, because that looks kind of weird and I wouldn't be surprised to see two pair pay it off. At the same time, it gives him the opportunity to fire QJ and JT if he misses and realizes he's no good. |
