$16 2 pair on bbl from BB
Hey. How's this? CO is a loose player, little experience with him. Hand plays out kinda awkwardly b/c of shorty btn. C/c riv is best or vbet shove? Not sure what villain has, but I could be being trapped. Slow down at any point?

Re: $16 2 pair on bbl from BB
IMO if you choose on the flop to play aggressively here (I think that is best) then you should shove the river. I can't see laying this down at the river so you are getting it in if you shove and he calls or you check and let him bet for you. I don't think he bets worse hands here, so you only get value from the worse hands if you shove, and I think you stack off no matter what if he has you beat.
The only other way to play would I guess be to check the flop and try to either get value from later streets when its more controlled or by shoving over him if he bets. I don't think this is that great of a way to play the hand though. |

i would c/r the flop and shove turn. [/ QUOTE ] Bet flop is fine i think and very good I shove turn after short stack folds you have him covered he is mostlikely calling with a weak hand after the flop because SS is in hand. regardless you have the other person covered and mostlikly you are ahead course you dont have him covered by much and youll be in bad shape if you lose. |

Re: $16 2 pair on bbl from BB
most draws missed, but you dont have much money behind and at this point hes calling with any TP/2nd pair hand that he took this line with and a lot of draws couldve picked up a little something else to want to call by the time they reach the final street. if you think hes always on a draw there isnt a ton of value in betting river, but i dont think we can make that assumption bc villain sucks.
With the read and line taken, value shove river. |
