A Quickie Colusion Question
Just recently a friend and fellow poker player moved into my apartment.
We both play a lot of MTTs, and sometimes will play the same tournament, when playing sats and some of the bigger guarantee tournies. We never collude, but do play from the same IP address. Just curious if anyone knows the rules regarding two players playing the same tournament from the same IP address. |

Re: A Quickie Colusion Question
You should e-mail support with that question. If anything goes wrong you have at least their e-mail response for proof.
I once asked pokerstars about this and they said that it is not allowed to play the same tournament/sng/cash table from the same IP address. |

Re: A Quickie Colusion Question
black,
are you sure about the MTT part? SNGs and cash is another thing entirely after all. OP, I only know of one site that doesn't allow multiple entrants into an MTT from the same IP - the OnGame network. They don't really follow up on it though, and it's not of any consequence to you if you're from the US. I'd follow black's advise though, especially in these times with accusations of multi-accounting running rampant. |

Re: A Quickie Colusion Question
Ooops. My mistake. Forget the MTT part. Here is the response I got from pokerstars:
---- Thank you very much for writing. There is a security feature that does not allow two players to play together if they have the same IP address, that's to prevent them with two ,side-by-side, computers on a LAN, from playing in the same game where they can see each others' cards. There's no override for that. Please note that players from the same household are not allowed to play in the same ring game table or sit & go single table or 2 tables. This restriction does not apply for multitable tournaments and heads- up matches. If you have further questions, please let us know. Regards, Stephanny PokerStars Support Team ---- |
