nl100: AA 170 BB deep against nl200 reg
Villain is 16/11/1.5/1800
Reads: villain usually plays 200nl, been playing down since stars upped table max to 24. I'm running 12/9/2.6 Am I better off betting the flop? What range am I repping w/ ckraise? is this the best way to find out where I stand this deep? Should I have called? Re: nl100: AA 170 BB deep against nl200 reg
When you and villain are both deep, and you're afraid of getting stacked with AA- especially when OOP, you could re-raise to more than 10% of the shortest stack [of the two of you] pre then you don't have to worry about paying off a set because you over-charged him to see a flop.
So, raise to, say, $25 pre and bet each street. *This may not be the optimal way to play the hand but it makes post-flop decisions easy when deep and OOP! |

Re: nl100: AA 170 BB deep against nl200 reg
You folded a winner here IMO. Why would a made hade come back over again. Especially ALL-IN. He know what you have and he pushed,if he could beat you why would he not call and let you bet into him again on turn or check turn and let you bet into him on river. He should not be afraid of you hitting your 2 outer or 5 at best.
He really looks like he wants you to fold.He prolly has something like AcTc + (excluding the J). Maybe at worst a KcTc. |

Re: nl100: AA 170 BB deep against nl200 reg
A few hands could play it that way: AK clubs, AA, KK, QQ, JJ, 55
It comes down to how likely it is that he would play the nut flush draw or KK this way. If likely, than call. If not, than fold. ext results appended to pokerstove.txt 16,830 games 0.005 secs 3,366,000 games/sec Board: Qd 5c Jc Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 42.430% 39.60% 02.83% 6664 477.00 { AdAs } Hand 1: 57.570% 54.74% 02.83% 9212 477.00 { JJ+, 55, AcKc } |

Re: nl100: AA 170 BB deep against nl200 reg
I think you are probably behind since unless he thinks you 3-bet him light, his range is probably 1010+ AQ+, or maybe slightly lower pairs that would not play like this. 10's arent playing like this and I dont think AQ is either. Kings might but I doubt it. You've already committed over half your stack so he's probably not bluffing. This flop hit his range pretty well, so you can't really check raise this large with aces and then fold, even if you think your beat, just by principle. Either c/c, b/f, or just bet and call his raise/go all in yourself.

Re: nl100: AA 170 BB deep against nl200 reg
I fold this because he 3bet shoved the flop in less than 1 second after my ckraise. I couldnt see him shoving this quickly with KK. Maybe AKc but it felt more like QQ or JJ. oh well...

Re: nl100: AA 170 BB deep against nl200 reg
Good fold, you are behind his range, most of which includes QQ/JJ/AcKc/AcQc. We only beat KK and naked flush draws, which he rarely has. Flop, I like the way you played it. FWIW, I raise more preflop, to $18-$22.
