Re: 2/4 I die a little inside whenever I do this.
Only hand that can beat you is 9 8. I'd probably make a crying call. I think he has the straight.

Re: 2/4 I die a little inside whenever I do this.
fold river, couple with river bet, turn was key; this turn bet is for made hand. A guy this passive is betting much less if he's drawing.

Re: 2/4 I die a little inside whenever I do this.
Fold looks good. He played this a lot like 89s. So, unless he's representing 89 with a busted flush draw because he expects you to lay down a good hand frequently for a big river bet, then he actually has a big hand and 1-pair is no good.
Now, if you think his range with this line might be as wide as TT+,33,AJs,JTs,98s,JTo then you have just under 38% equity. If you throw in an occasional bluff, then you have much more than enough equity to call. Unfortunately, your only read is "1.5 AF" which seems a little low to expect big, delayed bluffs very often, so without any other information, a fold on the river seems good. |

Re: 2/4 I die a little inside whenever I do this.
It would be a weird way to play it, but it wouldn't surprise me that much if he had two pair or a set.
Especially 77 J7s, T7 56cc is also possible, but unlikely given card combos. |
