Default Niagara Falls: Anything to do there besides the Falls?

The wife and I like to sight see and go to places that are rare wonders of the world. Grand Canyon, Mexican temples, Pyramids, etc... We haven't been to Niagara Falls yet and I think it would be a cool road trip (hit up Canada as well). Anything to do there besides see the falls? Hotels? Restaurants? Entertainment?

Depending on the time of year there is the Shaw Festival http://www.shawfest.com/ which is near by (Niagara-on-the-Lake is about 30-45 minutes).

The Niagara region is also Ontario's wine area. Not really on par with Napa but if you like wine or ice wine.

You are an hour and half out of Toronto.

Make sure you see the falls from the Canadian side, not the US side. It's a much much better view, and is also a much nicer town.

There's a casino there. Also, NF has a few great strip clubs, if your wife is into that sort of thing.

If you're going in the Summer months you can do the Jet Boats around Niagara in the Lake (I think thats where they are). They're pretty awesome. There's the casinos of course. There's a whole [censored]-ton of crappy tourists traps around there (Wax museum, Ripleys believe it or not, etc.). Maid of the mist is the boat that goes to the bottom of the falls, and I think there's a cave you can go in that comes out behind the falls but it was a long time ago when I did that.

Iguazu Falls in Argentina will fulfill your "greatest waterfalls in the world" rush better than Niagara. I understand that Niagara is probably much closer, but as far as waterfalls go nothing can top Iguazu.

I tried to find a side-by-side comparison of the entire falls for both of them and while it was easy to find all of Niagara, I couldn't find a single picture of the entire length of Iguazu Falls because it is so wide (about 2 miles).

Edit: I guess one could argue for Victoria Falls being "bigger", but I don't think it makes for a better visit and is hard to get the impressive up close views that Iguazu provides.
