Default NL25 2 AK hands am I spewing?

Hello,

villain in hand 1 was pretty new to the table.
I checked flop cause I figured he most likely has JJ+ and a bet might fold out a lot of his range.

Default Re: NL25 2 AK hands am I spewing?

In general, when I am oop against someone with AK, I like to either just muck it or 4 bet. I used to think that 4 betting was a default, but there really is nothing wrong with mucking against an unknown. Both pushing and mucking are close choices though so its upto you. Calling is the worst option though because AK likes to see 5 cards. Basically, you are going to be folding roughly 2/3 of the flops because youre going to miss. Anyway, back to the hands. Hand 1 is standard, nothing you can do. Hand two I would have probably played the same as well. I at first would say to just call and let him put the rest in on the turn but he only has like a 1/2 stack left after the bet anyway.
