I thought he might take a stab with whiffed hands like AQ and AK if checked to. Downside is that I give him a free one if he decides not to. But that's only 2 cards I'm afraid of.

this is fine. you'll probably see jj and qq a lot here but you've maximized fold equity with a hand that has outs against sets and overpairs

seems okay, like what happens when you get called you'll be behind but you'll fold out alot of his range. Even against Kings and Aces you have 10 outs, you're only in real bad shape against JJ or QQ.
