[/ QUOTE ] Much more likely than in OP's case. You can always say it was a gift, although that may not work since it has been opened. |

[ QUOTE ] Maybe do research before you buy a game next time? [/ QUOTE ] I think you missed the point. [/ QUOTE ] Nope, but there's no good way to respond to his post other than "tough luck", so I thought I'd offer some advice to help him avoid this scenario in the future. |

Re: This kinda pissed me off
One of my best friends in high school was/is a pretty big gamer. He has like 3 different consoles and whatnot, and basically sits around in his house all day playing video games. Barely works, doesn't go to school, etc. For years, he would go to the local Gamestop, EB, and this other video game store by his house. He would buy a game, go home and play/beat it, come back to the store within a week, and exchange it for another game. I mean, he did this for years. He played like every game that was out, and rarely paid for any. He'd keep the ones he really liked/could play again (racing games, etc). The guys at the store(s) eventually caught on, and he'd just cite their exchange policy. Anyways, he told me eventually that the local Gamestop changed their return policy because of him. I'm not sure how much truth there is to this, it was probably just a nationwide thing because of people like him.
Overall, it's pretty common knowledge nowdays that you can't return/exchange video games. |
