Push it on the flop - don't be a baby! win that hand RIGHT now before anything bad can happen!!
As played - follow and pray! |

Re: 33 in $5.50
i don't know if webster is kidding... but that flop and the way it was played looks pretty harmless within villain's range. i'd say AK that villain overplayed as is quite common in $5.

Re: 33 in $5.50
I never ever play a set weak - not kidding at all. It's only a set for gosh sakes!
Looks harmless NOW - but the a diamonds hits and then another diamond? A 4 and then a 6? What if he has 77 and a 7 hits! you are doing battle for an almost meaningless amount of chips very very early in a tournament. you push and he MIGHT go with you. Or you wait and MAYBE something bad happens. The key is not to win chips at this point - it's to survive and let others take their bullets. |

Re: 33 in $5.50
You played it fine. I can't agree with Webster at all. Harmless flop and I don't want to push the villain out. I want all his chips here. Most likely he has 2 overcards or a pp. Worst case scenario he has something like JJ and he catches a bigger set on turn or river. But with only 2 cards to come and 2 outs I want that risk. Suck him in and bleed him dry.
Doubling your chip stack here is not meaningless - don't mean you are going to win but doulbling here puts you in a great position. If he catches a miracle here thats just too bad. Risk/reward here is too much in your favour. Long term this is seriously +EV |
