Mike Mcdonald, the pride of Canada, has been eliminated by the wrecking ball also known as Annette Obrestad. It began with a third player opening the pot to $6,500 and Mcdonald re-popping to $22,500. Obrestad then re-re-raised to $120,000 which was enough to put both players all-in. The original raiser folded but Mcdonald made the call and turned over pocket jacks. A-Q for Obrestad would need to improve and the ace that hit the flop did just that. Drawing to two outs, Mcdonald was unable to spike another hook and is now forced to get on his dog-sled and say mush as all our readers back in Canadia feel just a few degrees colder as they watch from their Internet-equipped igloos.

Is it just me or is that terrible?

I'm not sure it is.

Young Scandinavian opens pot, 18 year old internet genius type reheats it on button, and we're on the bubble of a major tournament here, so she knows the ranges are going to be wider in any case.

Young Scandinavian = wide open-raising range, young internet whizzers = semi-wide 3-betting range, bubble = bananas range.

I think it's ok.

On the bubble play is likely to be a lot tighter lol?

Anyway, I would neve re raise a re raise with AQ - it just ain't gonna be good - fair enough she was coinflip but it so easily could of been QQ, KK, AA, AK. At best she was a coinflip, she took that chance, fair enough. It's like pushing with deuces tho.

Not in this situation, I don't think it is.

It's something I would probably never do, but she knows that some of these young whippersnappers will happily 3-bet very light here. I've been known to 3-bet in position with a very wide range on the bubble, as I'm sure many people have too.

It's marginal, but not terrible.
