Should I raise the turn here? Don't know how to play against an unknown villian.

How often do you bet flops like this, when the PF Aggressor checks to you...

Is this a PF fold for some of oyu ?!?

It looks fine against an unknown.

Fold preflop if he is any good.

I don't see how this is a very easy fold pre-flop. With no reads on the CO he could easily be raising light so surely a call is a reasonable play and see how the hand develops?

You seem to be a MTTer. In SNGs we fold most non-premium hands early. The risk/reward ratio just doesn't make it worth a call (in SNGs).

So you wouldn't consider AQo a premium hand on the button after a potential steal raise from the CO?

You're right, I mainly prefer MTT but do enjoy SNG's and am trying to improve my theory. COuld you expand on your point as I just don't see how a fold is the right play in this situation!

Thanks.

Few players are going to risk 160 chips to steal 60 when the blinds are 20/40.

Is that the reasoning behind a fold then? Because 'most' people would be raising with a hand rather than taking a stealing?

I suppose a lot of these comes down to reads and without them it's all guesswork. I'd certainly be playing the hand though as a raise from that position is too suspicious. rest of hand I'd play same as OP did.

The reason its a fold is that although a call is a profitable play in terms of chips, it involves too much variance.

The most important thing at the start of an SnG is to not bust out or lose a big chunk of your stack. We need our stack intact for the really profitable part of the game later on. So its best only to enter a hand early in the game when you know you have a strong edge in the pot.
