Re: Tough Spot with Trips
It's cool that you got this much action when you have such a good hand.

Re: Tough Spot with Trips
yuck.
1) throw up. 2) realize you have trips and can't fold. 3) shove it in, hard. 4) get drunk after stacking off to T8 and 44 haha I really feel like we are losing to one of their kickers. then again, we cannot fold. I think I call turn and pretty much any river. "SEVEN!! ONE TIME DEALER!!!" |

Re: Tough Spot with Trips
Think about it;
- If he thought TT+ was good, he would have raised the flop, yet he decided to wait for the point where.. - There is a dry sidepot. - Conclusion: you either have 4 outs or you have 3 outs. I'm folding unless villain is really irrational. Ofcourse, there is a chance that he has 86 or KK+, but putting the rest of your money in is going to be behind most of the time. |

Re: Tough Spot with Trips
i would fold this fairly easily to be honest. with T8+ i go broke and with with 98 i probably end up going broke spitefully. we have the worst 8 against someone who has an 8x+ like always.
i think you guys are way off in estimating the fishy button's frequencies here. |

Re: Tough Spot with Trips
shpanko-
the thing i dont understand is why you just called the turn? i assume its because you didnt want to scare off the donk and were hoping he came along with like 99 or whatever, right? but i think if he's calling, hes calling no matter what you do, so... if HERO just calls the BB shove i think it should be because the plan is to fold to a button shove. not to try to induce a rediculous blufff or pick off a super thin value shove. im probably not being real clear but i basically agree with terp and i prefer shoving turn, but as played i think folding is fine/good. |
