Re: $6 NLTRN: Three dubious pushes
I don't mind calling the flop in hand 2. That small 4-bet scares the [censored] out of me if I plan to put anymore chips in the pot.
Especially at a 6, there's no reason why you can't catch bluffs, your hand should be +EV against 1,2,3 barrels here. I haven't played a 6 in awhile, but maybe players are getting it in with 45, or any pair on that flop. I can't really say for certain, I know they are bad but not sure how many of them would do that. I do know, however, that villain is not going to be min 4-betting hands like 45 and Tx. |

Re: $6 NLTRN: Three dubious pushes
Well the hand was just poorly played. I should've folded. But at the time I thought he had a weak/medium pocket pair that didn't want to see a flop or invest a lot of chips.

Re: $6 NLTRN: Three dubious pushes
Hand 1 I like.
Hand 2 I just call his rr and end up folding on turn most likely. Hand 3 is a simple pf fold. |

Re: $6 NLTRN: Three dubious pushes
[ QUOTE ]
If I had held, say 55, would this still have been a standard PF shove in hand 1? [/ QUOTE ] I shove any pair preflop w 11.5 blinds and the btn. Cant really comment on the rest cos ive never played that small before. A3 seems ok and AT will stack up well against his range (youll see AJ and stuff a lot, but youll see worse aces and smaller pairs more often). |

Re: $6 NLTRN: Three dubious pushes
1)Shoving pre-flop is fine but I don't mind raising either . Since you raised , it's very difficult to get away from this pot given the amount in front of you and the flop texture . You're only worried about a 9 here and the odds are he doesn't have it .
2)Calling the mini-raise is fine to show him that you won't get pushed around easily . I would have preferred to lead out otf since it costs you less money than a check-raise .If you decide for a check-raise, it should be for a larger amount than the odds you gave him to call . In any case , I would have folded to the last raise as you're probably out-kicked . 3) I fold this hand . With A-Q + , I probably shove . |
