hmm, I've heard a couple of these "loved it" reviews, and a couple of "worst movie of the year" ones. guess I'll have to see it myself.

[/ QUOTE ] sadly I went into the theater thinking it was going to rule but I was reminded of the last Beatles movie fiasco  If I knew the movie was going to be RENT with the music of the Beatles I would have skipped it. The direction was bad - the movie equivelent of FPS, the acting meh, the casting atrocious (with the exception of Joe Cocker, Eddie Izzard and Bono who was brilliant. I don't recall Salma Hayek's roll as the nurse but it was one of the better songs in the movie), the soundtrack re-recording sub-par. Oddly I think it would have made a great Broadway play, but as a movie wait for Showtime. One week later I walked into a theater with the same very high expectations while seeing Wes Anderson's Darjeeling Limited, now that was a movie that was even better than the hype - I loved it!
