JJ vs suspected lag/donk
It's early, so I don't know much about the villain, but I suspect he's very loose/bad.

Re: JJ vs suspected lag/donk
How do the games generally play, I mean how uncommon is a 4bet

Re: JJ vs suspected lag/donk
I think I get it in here against a 60/33 guy...

Re: JJ vs suspected lag/donk
60/33 over 15 hands lol. Given he has over 2 buyins my default presumption would be that he's good. In any case I'd play this how I normally play JJ and that is see and shove most flops. The reason is that if you shove now you raise out all worse hands whereas if you call you get an extra-cbet from those worse hands. In either case you'll be stacking off against QQ+. Of course this only applies since you're in position postflop and if I were in the blinds I'd reshove preflop.

Re: JJ vs suspected lag/donk
15 hands is nothing. don't even put up stats.
[ QUOTE ] Given he has over 2 buyins my default presumption would be that he's good [/ QUOTE ] This is ridiculous. I'm surprised to hear this nonsense over and over. |

Re: JJ vs suspected lag/donk
how is that a bad presumption. im not saying 80% of them will turn out to be good nor even that 40% or 20% of them will but i certainly think the chance of someone being good is greater when they have more than doubled up. The same goes for people with obviously 2+2 or pocketfives names. why wouldn't that be a smart initial presumption to work with? if u sit at the casino and see a guy sitting with a mountain of chips do u presume 'all equally bad until i find otherwise?' when this guy is clearly more likely to be good than the guy who has half a buyin remaining

Re: JJ vs suspected lag/donk
hardly anyone 4 bets at 2/4, i think this allows him to play perfectly against us. and 15 hands is meaningless.
