Well, here's how not to play the bubble, courtesy of the BB:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero (t4215)
MP (t3265)
Button (t1015)
SB (t3035)
BB (t3470)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero raises to t4175, 3 folds, BB calls t3030 (All-In).

Flop: (t7365) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: (t7365) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t7365) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t6260

Hero has Ac Qh (flush, king high).
BB has As Ah (flush, ace high).
Outcome: BB wins t6260. Hero wins t1105.

SNGWiz has his call at -0.73% if I'm pushing 100% here. I blame all of you who say to never, ever fold AA.

Does sngwiz have a 5400 structure or did you create a custom one?

Custom. But it's pretty simple to create in Wiz.

No one's folding aces there. I don't care what SNGWiz says. Button doubles or steals the blinds once and you're in a dogfight seriously regretting folding AA. If button had 100 chips then yeah.

Also just out of curiosity, what is BBs call if you are on a reasonable range (AQ+, 77+ or something)?

BB's call EV is virtually the same no matter what range he puts me on, and always negative. I'm guessing that's because his expected win % is such a small range (80-90%), whether I have 32 or KK.

From the length of time he thought about it before calling, I'm pretty sure he would've folded KK.

I did almost pull off a sweet move using my time bank to wait for a blind change and force button all-in on the same hand as me when I had just 5 chips left, but the big stack picked us both off.

Also, probably just second-guessing the spot, but I wonder if raising to 1600 and folding to any decent stack all-in would have been better than a push here. I just can't convince myself that someone wouldn't have been dumb enough to try a re-steal with something they couldn't call all-in. The play in these things constantly defies logic.

The question is really why did you push AQ there? Just open fold

Fair point. It's slightly positive to push if the three middle stacks call AA only (a stretch, I know) and shorty calls 10-20%. In game, my thinking was all the middle stacks will fold 99% of the time and I'm ahead of shorty's call range to end the thing, with losing to him not really doing any damage.
