Default QQ in big pot

Nothing special about this guy, only few hands with him. Just wondering that is there some clear line that should be taken here? Only thing that I can figure is that I'm behind very often.

Poker Room skin
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $30.85
Hero: $52.05
Button: $49.95
SB: $54.80
BB: $28.85

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG calls $0.5, Hero raises to $2.5, Button calls $2.5, SB folds, BB raises to $5.5, UTG folds, Hero calls $3, Button calls $3.

Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($17.25, 3 players)

On the flop. Bet 7 (or maybe even 20$!)as a bluff.
Here is a word of advice. Never call preflop unless you have a drawing hand! If you think your QQ is good, then re-raise - if you think it is bad, then fold!

Cold calling is without doubt the biggest and most common mistake in any hold'em game!

Btw. I usually play 10 handed so my advice may be wrong.

Is the pre-flop call out of the 5/10 rule? BB's stack is too small for cold calling, but there is plenty in the pot already.

Why would he re-raise with queens? I would be playing this for set value only

I would say that's too weak. If you had been playing against me for just 10 min. you would see why.(I'm usually very agressive)
In 10 handed this is not a terrible strategy(but not a good one either) but in 6-handed it is too weak - and you will bee blinded out.

See from SSNL FAQ. Basically it you can also figure it out your self. The odds of flopping a set or better are something like 1:8, so for 3$ investment you should get paid over 24$ on average. Here the opponent is committed to the pot, so it's very likely to be he's whole stack.

You have Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], play it as long as it's not very expensive.

A reraise can be AA,KK ... sometimes AK ... but sometimes TT,JJ or ... any other PP.

regards,

dardo
