agreed, dont mind this, but you def have to give up if he calls/raises. i also wouldnt make habit of firing 2 barrells at this level w/ underpairs. while these opponents can be huge donks, they also usually dont continue past the flop w/o something, and in this case any "something" is beating your 3's

I tried to double barrel very often and just got flat called almost 80% of the time. Then I check the river and get bet into. So as for my experience i would say stop after first barrel.

I like it a lot. A and K high are a huge part of his flop calling range.
You do realize, of course, that you're turning your hand into a bluff with this bet and are instafolding to any aggression.

If you want to do this, make it look like a strong hand trying to price out draws. I'd make it a PSB on the turn and fold to further action.

That said, I don't really like it in this spot. That turn card creates a whole new set of draws for him to chase if he's got a Broadway hand like KQ, and there's still the flush draw for him to be on. The paired flop also means that he now has 6 extra outs to beat you w/ A high.

Overall I would probably just let it go after the failed cbet.

That's the problem though. You can't double barrel often, otherwise it gets looked up as often as your cbets. Double barreling is very opponent and board specific.

guess my thinking was that his range was mostly small PPs a six FD or a 10 and the jack on the turn misses most of that range. this guy was somewhat agro so its not like I have a great chance to get to showdown OOP
