Re: g
if you call preflop, you cant fold this flop. either call or shove. if you call get it in on the turn. i htink i actually just call this flop personally because it looks like he doesnt have much by the full pot bet on such a dry flop. no way he bets that much with AA or AK IMO.

Re: g
shove. if hes significantly behind he won't put another cent in unless he catches a set on the turn and if he's got AK you'll lose stack by river anyway and if he has AJ/AT you don't want him to catch up nor get scared away by a call flop bet turn line from you which looks really strong.

[/ QUOTE ] This logic is wrong, imo. We want him to keep putting money in with worse hands. The money is going in on the turn anyways, so like you said, we are getting stacked by AK, but other than that, let him keep bluffing/betting with weaker hands. Why would we shove this flop and blow him off a frustrated QQ/KK or something? Who says he won't fold if we shove and he has AT/AJ? |

Re: NL200 Call or raise flop?
If you think your opponent has AK, then fold preflop. Well since you called, this is the flop you should be hoping for. I would call and plan to be all-in on the turn. If he has KK-QQ and is c-betting, then raising will gain no value here.

[/ QUOTE ] I think u misunderstood the post, i think hero wants to find the best line to put his money in here and not whether or not to proceed with the hand. With TPGK on the flop with a blind 3bet over a btn raise we'd be mad to fold. I really like a call here. Boards dry, puts more money in with worse hand etcetc. Calling here gets him to push worse pairs and worse As on the turn. On a side note i like pushing here sometimes too as i will sometimes call with s/c and [censored] pf in this spot and push over a cbet with air/draws v good opponents so i need to show up with a made hand here sometimes too. |
