Default No Mans land with an overpair

Villain in this hand is 27/5/4 over only 50 hands but he's immediately to my left and seems to have taken a special interest in messing with me.

Also, please forgive the less than full buyin here, I just lost the previous hand and didn't get the reload in on time.

Full Tilt Poker, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

Hero (BTN): $42.25
SB: $200.40
BB: $50
UTG: $35.80
MP: $43
CO: $72.85

Pre-Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
UTG calls $0.50, MP raises to $3, CO folds, Hero raises to $9, SB calls $8.75, 3 folds

Flop: ($22) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $20.90, Hero ??

He's obviously representing 33, 44, 77 or 56, but he did call $9 preflop without closing the action, so AA or KK could conceivably be in range here also, although I wouldn't agree with that play preflop.

I think the other hands I could be facing are other overpairs between 88 to JJ, possibly 55 or 66 also. I'm basically split evenly between the number of hands that beat me and the ones that I beat in this range.

Lastly, his bet would only leave me with $13 behind, so this is basically push or fold.

What would you do here?

Push, you see overpairs here all day long. His AF is definitely more than high enough to justify a call as well.

Based on his stats (VPIP should be somewhat close even over 50 hands), I think his range is confined to something like 99/TT+, AK. And less likely AA and KK. So on this flop, most of the time I think he has TT or JJ, less often 99, AA, KK, and even less AK. So, I think we're good 50% maybe more, plus we committed 25% of our stack preflop. I push.

shove especially since were only 80ish bb's deep. If you don't want to get it all in on this flop, don't make it $9 pre. I think he has 1010 here more often than 44.

push and have reload ready. I think you beat him the same amt as he beats you. if he shows up with a set this is a great time to take notes as he should be folding those preflop.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought this might be a toss up, leaning towards a push, and I think I'm getting the same opinion from the above posts.

In reality, I did push here, villain turned over AJos, and rivered the ace for the win. I guess the hand had a bit of a tilting effect on my judgement, but its always good to hear a little reinforcement that I made the right call.

'unfortunate to hear about AJ' It's unfortunate for you, the ace came on the river.... It is, however, VERY fortunate for you that he had AJo and you got it in as such a HUGE favorite. You played the hand well. Good job.
