Extracting Max. Value
I've been playing micro stakes poker for a few months now, and I have a big problem with extracting maximum value from my hands. I feel like if I flop the nuts, everyone checks down until the river. I don't have any hands in particular, but I was wondering if anyone has any good advice. I play .05/.10 and sometimes .10/.25, I'm not a fanatic, but I feel like this is a weak part of my game. Suggestions?
Thanks, Andy. |

Re: Extracting Max. Value
Andy, bet your hands because the retards you're playing against won't fold.
Thank me later, FMA. |

Re: Extracting Max. Value
Well for one thing, pocket pairs can extract lots of value if you a flop a set in RAISED pots. Don't limp with pp's because you don't make any money if you hit.
Other than that, generally you should bet out your strong hands to protect them and have ppl pay to see extra cards. |

Re: Extracting Max. Value
c-bet the flop more often after raising preflop. also try betting and raising strong 8+out draws in position. you aren't going to ever extract maximum value out of nut/almost nut hands if you don't steal pots very often.
