Chris Ferguson Turned $0 Into $10,000 sub question
Chris Ferguson turned $0 into $10,000. Does anyone know where he made the most gains ( the bigest jumps in uints not $ amount), was it from cash game, 1t SNG, or MTT. He did not make any big gains until he got a 2,000 to 3,000 bankroll. also he took a big lose does anyone know what game that was from.
I see that when he play NL cash game he always buy in for 20bb, did this ever change. |

Re: Chris Ferguson Turned $0 Into $10,000 sub question
Chris Ferguson went from $0 to $10k in a really silly fashion. He played MTTs for which he was clearly underbankrolled, $1 tournaments when he had less than $10, and it took months for him to hit a "big" $100 prize.
I'm not sure why you want to study the details. Several people have done similar things much faster by following more appropriate bankroll management instead of inconsistent and arbitrary rules. |

Re: Chris Ferguson Turned $0 Into $10,000 sub question
Too many factors for it to be other than from $0 to $10K.
Other than that it's not the way to start, not without side bets (the results must be proven). Ferguson has said on the table that why not start as he did. He didn't say anything when someone asked how long it took to achieve that $0 to $10,000. The answer would have made him look bad. That shows that what he did was not smart; just from $0 to $10,000, that's all. Is Ferguson right, that the use of the ministack was the fastest way, or/and the safest way, to build the bankroll? By using smaller stacks he was able to play higher limits than he otherwise could have. If one is playing only some specific limit one makes more using a bigger stack, but that wasn't the case with Ferguson who has the skills to play about any limit. |

Re: Chris Ferguson Turned $0 Into $10,000 sub question
I think his use of small-stacking is probably not great, because your variance is high and the tools available to you are not many. Of course I don't recommend buying in for deep-stacked amounts, but something that offers a level of balance, wherein you can use more of your tools while not risking too much and making play overly complicated. I like 60-65 BB personally, but I think that varies with everyone.
I am not one to talk however, as on both of the sites I have gained free bankrolls on I don't think I am on track to beat Ferguson, so maybe I really know precisely jack. |

If Ferguson had a $0 to $100 challenge, I think a lot of us could beat him.

Freeorolls suck on FTP from what I hear when he is on the Pokeredge. Bodog has one where you can win over 200 dollars. Also it took him 6 months to get over 100 dolalrs playing full time. He didnt have a job or anything

That's why it took six months to get to $100. |
