poker in puerto rico?
I have to be in San Juan, Puerto Rico next weekend for a wedding. Just wondering if they have poker there, and if they do what limits? Staying at the El San Juan if that helps. Thanks for any info.

Re: poker in puerto rico?
I was there about 3 years ago and played at the Intercontinental. Only poker table there was called 5/10 limit, but any player could bet $15 at any time, even preflop to no raise. Action was as described in this post. 7 to the flop most hands.
http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/...te_id/1#import It looked like all local retirees other than me passing money back and forth. With so many seeing the flop winning hands were usually 2 pair or better. I played a few card dead hours before finally hitting a full house. My one winning hand that nearly brought me back to even. |

Re: poker in puerto rico?
as i recall el san juan had a game a few years ago also, could run either holdem or stud not very many tables(2 5/10) and a high rake but the action was as loose as i suppose you could find anywhere. gl have fun and stick to condado, islaverde and the well lit parts of old sanjuan if you can /are alone. ask the flower guys on the street for the good blow after crushing the table

Re: poker in puerto rico?
Played there last year. Only two games going on a Saturday night in August. Limit was it, but it was loose and fun. Can't remember which hotel/casino it was, sorry.
