Re: Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?
My wisdom teeth never came in, and the dentist says they probably never will.
Also, my dad only had 3 wisdom teeth, but when his little brother was born 11 months later, he had 5. True story. |

Re: Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?
i had only 3 wisdom teeth and got them out last summer when i was 16. It sucked for me because i have an awful reaction the anesthesia and was puking everywhere. Also, get them out. Even if your mouth is large enough so where they fit, they usualy dont come in right (they come in sideways) and if they happen to, after a bunch of years they will rot away anyways because its hard to brush them.

Wisdom teeth are awesome. I have extra chewing power that EVERYONE is jealous of.

Re: Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?
I honestly think that dentists have gone overboard with taking them out. It's not like humans didn't survive for a long time without taking them out. The conspiracy theorist in me wants to believe the worst. Have any of you had a bad time with keeping them in?

Re: Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?
I put mine off for a like two years after I was told I should get them pulled. My bottom front teeth are a little crooked now because of it.

Re: Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?
I still have mine, but have a friend that got his out 2 days ago. He got global anestesia and said it was awesome. Another friend drove him to the dentist and said that he woke up saying that "the drugs they gave him were awesome" and that "everyone should take them." Apparently the nurses were laughing their asses off at him and it wasn't painful at all despite him being nervous as [censored] and being a hypochondriac. You'll be fine.

Re: Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?
Had mine out at 17. I was knocked out, woke up, filled my prescription for vicodin and got in a friends car to go on a snowboarding trip. For 3 days I took vicodin, snowboarded and drank at night, it was fantastic.

Re: Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?
[ QUOTE ]
Still have mine. I'm 33. Dentist said they should come out before the grow in when I was 17. I said no. Glad I did. [/ QUOTE ] Yea have fun when you're 40 and all of them start to rot. Seriously, did you study up on this at all? Wisdom teeth are extremely hard to clean compared to other teeth, can often become impacted (not even going to go into it but this is very, very bad) and most commonly just mess up your other teeth because they come in/move and make all of your teeth crooked. None of mine were impacted but when i was 18 they started to move a bit and were starting to make my bottom row crooked. And the fact that very serious problems can arise from not getting them removed later in life, even if they never become impacted, i got them removed. Went out instantly, woke up, felt kinda high, went home, was back to normal a couple days later. The only thing that sucked was getting food stuck in the holes, just get one of those small syringes you can suck up water and spray it into the holes to clean them and it's fine. |

Re: Have you had your wisdom teeth out yet?
Got mine out at 23 or 24 or so.
I thought it was easy and pretty much painless. I was all drugged up when they were doing it but pretty much remember everything. I had very little pain afterwards. Getting braces when I was younger was way more annoying and painful I thought. |
