That river bet is kind of big. Did you have a read to go with your river bet?

This is 5NL but not so sure this gets called often enough by an unknown to be +EV.

I think it was nicely played.

I think they'll pay you on the river with any high queen, any overpair and any 2 pair, so i think it's +EV checkmate36.

I really like the overbet on the turn too. We need to build the pot and that turn bet helps.

Thanks guys. Glad to hear I played it correctly for the most part. I lost the hand, however. The guy had 10-7. Made a miracle straight on me...grrr.

Obviously his drawing without odds was very -EV, so I am happy overall even though I have lost many hands when I hit a set lately, so I am just trying to cope with a downswing.

Make sure you take every one of those [censored] to valuetown at every opportunity. Your downswing won't last long.
