I'm like 95% going to this. I am hitting the satellites hard this week. If nothig else I'll buy directly in to a step 6.

Step 6 costs $2100. You are risking $2100 to try to win the $2500 buy-in, 6 nights hotel, and $1400 in cash.

Direct buy-in costs $2500.

I don't know if buying into "step 6" at $2100 makes sense, given that one might as well save the trouble and buy-in directly for $2500 and ask for the $100/night group rate for the room.
