Meh, pretty crappy spot...probably fine as played. I might not raise pf here (I know it's super nitty), but with a big stack in the bb, I think you're more likely than normal to get called or RRed.

I don't like c-betting here.
You now still have a decent stack of t1080 (>10BB).

I think I fold this pre flop with the given stacks.
Are u folding you hand pre if someone re-pushes?

Pushing pre flop is also an option and slightly +EV.
But I like folding pre.

wait, why would you not raise here? looks too much like a steal and induces a spite call? AJ otb looks good to me, or is this a leak? Also, i could see a c-bet looking week as it's very unlikely you hit on this board and the best you probably have is a nut flush draw and an inside straight draw. Your range isn't narrowed to pairs enough yet. I could see a slightly greater than pot size bet to get rid of him if he has just a draw or check it down like you did. Given stacks, it might be good to take a stab at this pot, it's over 25 percent of your stack. There's some FE here. Although it's early enough that i don't mind getting away from this one. All in all, i'd probably play it just as you did.

My big question, is it really bad to raise from b with AJ? I play lower limit but still get called by crap enough oop to make this work...is it a purely higher stakes limp?

Well, for one thing, we're in the hijack, not the button. And it's a pretty marginal spot, and in various circumstances, I could see myself doing basically anythin...open folding, shoving, raise/folding and raise/calling although I probably never open limp. And our stack really sucks for "taking a stab" at this because we'll be putting in like 1/3 of our remaining chips in the pot with our cbet and are in deep [censored] if we get CRed.

To answer your question, it's not at all bad to raise AJ from the button in most cases at the lower limits. At the higher games, you should probably be mixing it up a bit with AJ in L4 from MP and such...like maybe raising half the time and folding half the time.

I like it. Villain has tight stats so raising should be fine.
