I was going to CR flop, forgot to add that in. If I donk flop here, I'm getting raised with a really wide range quite a lot, and I don't like my hand enough to continue and don't hate it enough to fold. That was my reasoning.

If CO is that aggro where is raising with a wide range, then check is fine. If not I say donk it up and try and take the pot on flop, if he is passive and gives resistance then time to slow down.
