-----changing that situation where you only get 6 months to take advantage of the 5x FPP's

Supernova Elite players that repeats in 2008 will earn 60%+ RB assuming they hit 1,000,000 VPPs Dec 31st. If we extended Supernova Elite for the whole year and kept the same RB% it would only be 4.25x FPP bonus. All this assumes the rewards will be exactly the same and doesn't include freerolls, other VIP added events or promos like double VPP week.

Hmmmm...

For what it's worth, I don't think many here are saying the Elites don't get enough in rewards.

I, for one, think it would have been wise to reward 4.25x for an entire year than 5x for half a year.

meh...for those who can get it more quickly the following year...like in 8-10 months or so, they would only be getting 3.5x for 2-4 mths out of the yr.
So certainly they would object to being 'stuck' at 4.25x the whole way through.

I prefer it the way it is for purely selfish reasons. A good case could be made for both sides but if the primary objective is to increase playing then keeping it the way it is will motivate the 30-35 SNE to play more.

When you put it this way, I'm pretty much fine with it the way it is...

I'm not really.
Essentially I guess I am saying that Elite's aren't getting "enough" unfortunately although I do believe it's a very generous program.

First, the decision between the PCA package and the Monte Carlo package is really strange since the value between them is so different. I do have a slight problem with that although I can certainly live with it and it's not nearly enough of an inconvenience to keep me from pursuing this...jsut find it weird.

Second, I think 5x for an entire year is perfectly fair.
I also think 4x for 600k or 750k or whatever woudl also be fair.

Think of all the work put in and all the tables started and continued and maintained by the elites and those pursuing elite.
They don't just generate their own rake. They keep tables going essentially acting as pseudo-props as was brought up previously either in this thread or a different one.

For that kind of volume I do think they are deserving of a significantly higher FPP-accrual rate as opposed to the run-of-the-mill 100k-200k SN types.

Standard disclaimer that I still really really love Stars and think they are awesome. Just a bit disappointed I guess that this bit about stretching the 5xFPP rate seems unlikely to happen when I was really hoping it had a chance.
Not that it makes a big difference to me anyway since I'm not getting elite this year and there's a good chance I won't get it in 2008 either.

Will supernova elites get a chance at a better cash bonus offer using the fpp's? like 200k fpp's for $3.5k or 4k? They already get rewarded greatly but just wondering since all the other levels got increased cash bonuses with fpp's. Getting them at 5x they will have plenty of them.
