Re: 16$ : 77 early in position.
I think the call on the turn is fine, if you bet the river. Why do you check the river? He bets river with an Ace. I would think you fold out a lot of better hands by betting on the river. PP like 99,TT,JJ might fold, figuring you have an Ace in your hand.
Calling turn and then not betting the river when checked to, doesn't make much sense to me. |

I'd limp pre even on the btn. Turn call is fine. I like riv check, opponent doubtfully has much of a hand here and you won't fold out better hands.

You would have to make a big bet to get a fold vs most & even than, JJ-KK is probably calling, especially based on hero's line up until the river. OP, you played it fine. |

Re: 16$ : 77 early in position.
Ok, that is good to know that those mid-high PP hands aren't folding here.
Mental note: try not to bluff by represent Ace in these spots to players who's fold button does not work. |

Re: 16$ : 77 early in position.
If you bet this river it's for value against worse hands, not to get better ones to fold (because they won't). Since that would be a pretty thin bet the check is good.
