Default $11 Sacrificing too much of my stack with correct pot odds?

Villain straight forward 30/8 player, the size of his raise on the flop establishes for me what he has.

My question is: should I be using half my stack in this situation, even with the correct pot odds I feel this is not a great use of my chips.

As played you have to call the flop raise. And you're not getting the correct price to call the turn bet FWIW. As a general rule, in order to fully exploit your opponents' terrible late game play it's best to not gamble on draws early.

UTG you've got a lot of action to face, limping in with AQ it is easier to play post-flop and get away from the hand.

IŽd limp.
As played bet the flop like t170 and go from there.

I don't like preflop and flop.

UTG I like limping AQs that early in the game.

With that flop I think you have much more to gain checking with the intention of raising rather then lead.

Leading OOP will make you win a small pot or it will just out you in a terrible situation where the pot is getting big.

As played I probably reraise all in, you still have FE and a minimum of 12 outs.

Thanks for your suggestions, I think you are right in suggesting I keep the pot small.

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me whether I am right or wrong with my pot odds.

[/ QUOTE ]

If I count the other 3 aces as outs I have a 26% chance of hitting on the river (roughly 3:1). Discounting the 3 aces I have a 20% chance (4:1). The pot on the turn is 945, with me needing to call a bet of 240 (giving me 3.9:1).

So even discounting the aces I am roughly getting the right price. Is this correct, or have I made a mistake?

Please don't mention the reverse implied odds of another ace hitting, my head will explode.
